ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 7 -- Darin B. Rice of Pleasant Grove, Calif., has developed an apparatus for supporting and pulling a tow rope.
According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Tow rope rewinder apparatus includes a spool driven by an electric motor. The motor becomes deenergized after tension of the tow rope reaches a predetermined magnitude."
The inventor was issued U.S. Patent No. 7,197,998 on April 3.
